Giles Scuderi, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at New York City-based Northwell Health.
Dr. Scuderi is an attending orthopedic surgeon at New York City-based Lenox Hill Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center at Valley Stream (N.Y.). He also serves as an associate professor at the Hempstead, N.Y.-based Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
During his 20-plus years in practice, Dr. Scuderi has published more than 100 scientific articles and book chapters. He has edited multiple textbooks, including The Patella, Sports Medicine: Principles of Primary Care and Surgical Techniques in Total Knee Arthroplasty.
Dr. Scuderi served in various leadership positions for The Knee Society, which named him president in 2012. He also helped develop the 2011 Knee Society Scoring System.
Dr. Scuderi earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in New York City. He completed a residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, an internship at The State University of New York Health Science Center and a fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery, all in New York City.
