Bernard Bach, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
Dr. Bach is the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls team physician, as well as the Quigley and Herodicus Sports Medicine Societies' and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine's past president.
Dr. Bach is the recipient of numerous honors and recognitions. He was inducted into the AOSSM Hall of Fame during the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons 2018 Annual Meeting in New Orleans and received the AOSSM's Robert E. Leach Sports Medicine Leadership award in July 2017.
The author of more than 600 scientific papers, abstracts and book chapters, Dr. Bach has been named a "Top Doctor" by Chicago Magazine several times.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Dr. Bach completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He underwent fellowship training at the New York City-based Hospital of Special Surgery.
