Dr. Bryan Springer is an orthopedic surgeon at the Charlotte, N.C.-based OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center.
Dr. Springer serves as the Hip and Knee Center's fellowship director. He is a past president of the Musculoskeletal Infection Society, as well as a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, The Hip Society and The Knee Society.
Dr. Springer is also the medical director and co-founder of Operation Walk Carolinas, an organization providing free joint replacements to patients in countries where specialized medical care is rare or nonexistent. Dr. Springer recently led the group's mission to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, where physicians performed 58 joint replacements on 47 patients.
After earning his medical degree from Huntington, W.V.-based Marshall University School of Medicine, Dr. Springer completed a residency at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic. He underwent fellowship training at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
