Bruce E. Cohen, MD, is a foot and ankle surgeon and the CEO of Charlotte, N.C.-based OrthoCarolina.
During his tenure with OrthoCarolina, Dr. Cohen has also served as the vice chairman for the group's board of directors and operations committee chair.
Dr. Cohen has been a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society's board of directors since 2012. He previously served as director of the OrthoCarolina Foot and Ankle Fellowship and is currently the Charlotte, N.C.-based Carolinas Medical Center orthopedic surgery department's chief of foot and ankle surgery.
Through the OrthoCarolina Research Institute, Dr. Cohen has been actively involved in numerous research projects as a principal investigator. He frequently serves as a faculty member at national and international academic orthopedic meetings.
Dr. Cohen graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta before completing an internship and residency at Carolinas Medical Center. He underwent fellowship training at Milwaukee-based Medical College of Wisconsin and the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala.
