Brian Donahue, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in Des Plaines.
Dr. Donahue is also affiliated with Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill., and currently serves as the team physician for Rolling Meadows (Ill.) High School.
In addition to his board certification in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Donahue has a subspecialty certification in sports medicine. He specializes in treating knee, shoulder and patellofemoral conditions.
Dr. Donahue served as a physician for the U.S. Navy and Marine units during the First Gulf War and received the Fleet Marine Force Ribbon for exceptional medical service provided during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He also earned the Navy Achievement Medal for superior performance of medical duties while assigned to Commander Fleet Activities in Chinhae, South Korea.
After earning his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Dr. Donahue completed residencies at Valhalla-based New York Medical College and Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He underwent a fellowship training in sports medicine at University of Connecticut in Farmington.
