Scott Jacobson, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at The Center Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care & Research in Bend, Ore.
Dr. Jacobson specializes in surgical and non-operative treatment of the musculoskeletal system, bones and joints. He has expertise in knee conditions, including arthritis, arthroscopic surgery and meniscus tear, among others.
With expertise in shoulder conditions, including bursitis, dislocation and frozen shoulder, Dr. Jacobson is currently involved in the development of a national shoulder arthroplasty database. He also is involved in the design and manufacturing of shoulder arthroplasty and trauma implants.
Dr. Jacobson is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America and Oregon Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
After earning his medical degree from University of California at Santa Barbara, Dr. Jacobson completed a residency at Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship training in sports medicine at Southern California Center for Sports Medicine in Long Beach.
