Joseph Izzi, Jr., MD, joined Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics.
Here are three things to know:
1. Dr. Izzi is a board-certified upper extremity orthopedic surgeon.
2. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and underwent adult and pediatric trauma fellowship training at Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital, both in Providence. Dr. Izzi also underwent hand and microvascular surgery fellowship training at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery.
3. University Orthopedics employs more than 40 musculoskeletal and sports medicine physicians. Physicians serve as faculty members at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence.
