John T. Gill, MD, is the founder of and an orthopedic surgeon at Dallas Sports Medicine.
With expertise in sports medicine and arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, Dr. Gill specializes in torn cartilage, fractures, sprains and ligament tears.
Dr. Gill currently serves in the House of Delegates for both the American Medical Association and Texas Medical Association. He is an American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons diplomate and a sports team physician with the Dallas independent school district.
Previously, Dr. Gill served as president of the Texas Orthopaedic Associtation as well as the former American Academy Orthopaedic Surgeons board of councilors chairman.
After earning his medical degree from Dallas-based University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Gill completed his residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He then underwent fellowship training in sports medicine and knee surgery at Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine.
