Alexandria, Minn.-based Heartland Orthopaedic Specialists welcomed orthopedic surgeons Emily Monroe, MD, and Aaron Balgaard, MD, Voice of Alexandria reports.
Here are three things to know:
1. Dr. Monroe is a sports medicine surgeon. She received her medical degree from University of Louisville (Ky.) School of Medicine and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Monroe underwent sports medicine fellowship training at UC San Francisco.
2. Dr. Balgaard received his medical degree from Minneapolis-based University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Kansas City-based University of Kansas School of Medicine.
3. Heartland Orthopaedic Specialists employs 11 physicians.
