Vedant Vaksha, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Complete Orthopedics in New York City.
Dr. Vaksha is also affiliated with Riverhead, N.Y.-based Peconic Bay Medical Center as well as Flushing Hospital and Medical Center in New York City.
With expertise in sports medicine and arthroscopy, Dr. Vaksha has a special interest in trauma, fractures and dislocations. He also specializes in spine procedures.
Previously, Dr. Vaksha served as a volunteer physician for the Special Olympics in Richmond, Va., and for the Washington Redskins.
Dr. Vaksha is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, Medical Society of the State of New York, American Medical Association and International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology.
After earning his medical degree in India, Dr. Vaksha completed fellowship training in spine surgery at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) and Cleveland Clinic. He then underwent fellowship training in sports medicine at Richmond-based Orthopedic Research of Virginia.
