Dr. Joseph Donnelly was elected president of the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, effective Jan. 26.
Four details:
1. Dr. Donnelly will serve a three-year term as president of the organization, which has more than 20,000 members.
2. A board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist, Dr. Donnelly is a clinical professor of physical therapy at Mercer University's College of Health Professions in Atlanta.
3. Dr. Donnelly is an honorary fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.
4. He earned his doctor of health science degree in orthopedic physical therapy from the University of Indianapolis.
