The Arthroscopic Association of North America is opening an orthopedic education facility in Rosemont, Ill., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 4.

Four things to know

1. The AANA J. White Ewing, MD Simulation Room in the Orthopaedic Learning Center is named after the former AANA president and founding member.

2. The simulation room provides a space for orthopedic surgeons to refine old techniques and also practice new ones.

3. It features eight ArthroS simulators, designed by AANA partner VirtaMed.

4. The ArthroS devices allow users to select a module by joint, refine motor skills with the Fundamentals of Arthroscopy Surgery Training program and review arthroscopic concepts.
