Stephenson Ikpe, MD, is the newest provider at Piedmont Physicians Rockdale Orthopedics in Conyers, Ga., according to The Covington News.
Three quick facts:
1. Dr. Ikpe specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine. He has a special interest in knee and shoulder surgery.
2. He graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, underwent residency training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and completed fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh.
3. Piedmont Physicians' comprehensive treatment program is designed to help patients ages 14 and up recover from sports-related injuries.
"I really enjoy working with my patients to develop a plan of care. When appropriate, we try to maximize more conservative treatment options such as physical therapy, but incorporate surgery when it is necessary to achieve our goals," Dr. Ikpe told The Covington News.
