Nonprofit company Nth Dimensions appointed orthopedic surgeon Bonnie Mason, MD, senior advisor on its board of directors on Feb. 3.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Mason is Nth Dimensions' founder and former executive director.
2. In 2005, she founded the company to address the lack of female minority physicians in orthopedics.
3. Nth Dimensions aims to partner with medical professionals in specialties with notable shortages of women to create competitive residency applicants and generate pipeline programs.
4. Letitia Bradford, MD, former chief of orthopedic surgery at Mee Memorial Hospital in King City, Calif., assumed the position of executive director.
