Three orthopedic surgeons are vying for seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate in November:

Republican Knute Buehler, MD, of Bend, Ore.-based The Center: Orthopedic & Neurosurgery Care and Research, aims to replace Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Nashville-based orthopedic trauma surgeon and conservative Republican Manni Sethi, MD, is running for Tennessee's open U.S. Senate seat.

Al Gross, MD, is running as an independent, challenging Sen. Dan Sullivan, R-Alaska.

All three physicians have been endorsed by the Political Action Committee of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
