Darren Friedman, MD, joined New York City-based Gramercy Surgery Center as director of orthopedics, according to an Aug. 21 announcement.
Four things to know:
1. Dr. Friedman specializes in treating sports-related shoulder and knee injuries, with a focus on minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques.
2. Dr. Friedman serves as director of the Center for Sports Medicine and chief of the shoulder surgery division at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital in New York City.
3. He is a clinical assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.
4. Gramercy Surgery Center celebrated its 13th year of operation earlier this year. The organization has one location in New York City's Manhattan borough, and a second in the Queens borough.
