From a new practice opening in California to a physician suing his former employer, here are the latest orthopedic surgeons making headlines:

Ayman Daouk, MD, is seeking $800,000 from Orlando (Fla.) Health and two of its subsidiaries for alleged retaliation and violation of anti-kickback laws.

Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute's Charles Jordan, MD, was reportedly the first physician to use a new 3D-printed implant to accelerate healing in long bone injuries.

The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine has selected Andrew Bernhardson, MD, as the recipient of the 2020 Hughston Award, which is awarded to the most outstanding research paper in the American Journal of Sports Medicine.

Annette Billings, MD, Lacey Zack, MD, and Robert Klenck, MD, and Sara Shirazi, DPM, opened Pasadena (Calif.) Orthopedics.
