The Chicago Center for Orthopedics & Robotic-Assisted Surgery opened in September.

Five things to know:

1. CCOR is an academically affiliated orthopedics practice focused on joint replacement patients and those seeking a quick return to a painless, active lifestyle.

2. CCOR has a team of orthopedic surgeons led by Henry Finn, MD, and Yasser Farid, MD, PhD.

3. Dr. Finn serves as CCOR's medical director. He is also an orthopedic surgery professor at the University of Chicago. Dr. Farid is an associate professor of clinical orthopedics at University of Illinois at Chicago.

4. Drs. Farid and Finn performed Illinois' first series of surgeries involving Smith+Nephew's Real Intelligence-Hip Navigation system, which is designed to assist in hip implant placement and leg length evaluation.

5. Both orthopedic surgeons also use Smith+Nephew's new CORI Surgical System in total knee replacement and partial knee replacement.
