Northwest Specialty Hospital, a physician-owned hospital in Post Falls, Idaho, launched a new service called Northwest Integrated Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, Coeur d'Alene Press reports.
The service line, owned and operated by the hospital, includes on-site physical therapy, surgery, imaging and nonoperative interventions.
Sports medicine surgeon Christopher Dewing, MD, serves as medical director.
"Integrated care has at its heart the concept that healthcare should work for the patient and be centered around the patient," Dr. Dewing said. "At the heart of all healthcare is the contract between the physician and the patient — a contract enlightened by trust, compassion and skill."
Last year, Northwest Specialty Hospital incorporated Axis Spine Center under its banner, a practice co-owned by spine surgeon Roland Kent, MD.
