The app Emory University hopes will transform its orthopedic department

Atlanta-based Emory University entered into a partnership with Rimdi to launch a fast healthcare interoperable resource app, the company launched Feb. 23.

The app was designed to create a collaborative and transparent experience for orthopedic surgery patients and for those undergoing deep brain stimulation.

The app allows providers to connect with patients and extend the continuum of care into the patient's home. Physicians can view patient-reported outcomes like nausea, pain, medication usage and physical therapy outcomes, and can also compare therapy regimens between patients.

Emory also uses Rimidi's clinical management platform to manage its high acuity patients with cardiometabolic conditions.
