Orthopedic surgeon Eric Price, MD, received the 2021 Physician of the Year award for 'unparalleled quality' at Houston Methodist The Woodlands, according to local news outlet Hello Woodlands.
Dr. Price is a joint replacement specialist and director of orthopedic surgery at Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at The Woodlands.
He has developed The Woodland's total joint program and led the orthopedics program to Center of Excellence designation by accreditation company DNV GL Healthcare in July 2020.
The hospital earned the designation after its hip and knee, shoulder and spine programs were certified by DNV GL, which certifies more than 500 hospitals in 49 states.
