Texas hospital completes $64M tower for orthopedics, surgery

Medical City McKinney (Texas) has finished construction on a $64 million patient tower that will expand access to orthopedic surgery and trauma care, among other services, Community Impact Newspaper reported Dec. 14.

Three details:

1. The third floor of the tower is dedicated to orthopedics, surgery and trauma patients and includes 24 private rooms and an orthopedic gym.

2. The first and second floors are planned for future growth of clinics and other hospital projects, according to the report. The hospital has the ability to expand the tower up to five stories.

3. Medical City McKinney also expanded its emergency room, adding nine treatment rooms, three trauma rooms, a CT scanner and an imaging room.
