The University of West Florida in Pensacola received a $600,000 donation that it will use to add a sports medicine center, the school said Jan. 18.
The donation, which will also be used to support a student athlete scholarship, was given to the school by alumnus Sandy Sansing. The school will name the new center after Mr. Sansing.
The center will be used to treat injured student athletes in partnership with Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
