Wyoming's first minimally invasive trigger finger release and eight other orthopedic milestones to know:

1. University Hospitals will be the first health system in the Cleveland area to use the Mazor X Stealth Edition Robotic Guidance Platform for spinal surgery March 11.

2. Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital in Baton Rouge, La., became the first hospital in the state to perform spine surgery with OrthoPediatrics' ApiFix technology.

3. Sebastian Koga, MD, completed the world's first surgeries using Aurora Spine Corp.'s Dexa-C implant at Cypress Pointe Surgical Hospital in Hammond, La.

4. Kingsley Abode-Iyamah, MD, performed one of the first robotic-assisted awake spinal fusions at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla.

5. Brad Prybis, MD, a surgeon at Carrollton, Ga.-based Tanner Medical Center, performed the first case with 4Web Medical's hyperlordotic lateral implant with Truss technology.

6. Rhode Island resident Dom Messerli designed a first-of-its-kind spinal implant made from human bone tissue at the New England Medical Innovation Center in Providence.

7. OrthoPediatrics reached 1,000 cases completed with the Firefly pedicle screw navigation guides.

8. Ernest Braxton, MD, performed the first awake robot-assisted transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion in Colorado.

9. Casper, Wyo.-based McGinley Clinic completed the state's first minimally invasive trigger finger release procedure.
