Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network is planning to construct a short-stay orthopedic facility for patients recovering from surgery, Lehigh Valley Regional News reported March 17.
The hospital submitted its preliminary development plan for a two-story, 52,571-square-foot building to the South Whitehall Township (Pa.) Planning Commission for final review.
The facility would serve patients requiring one- or two-day stays and would not provide emergency services.
