Orthopedic surgeon earns spot in Arizona Women's Hall of Fame

Victoria Stevens, MD, will be inducted into The Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame, The Arizona Silver Belt reported April 19. 

Dr. Stevens is the first Native American woman in Arizona to receive a medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. Her career as a hand and foot specialist spanned 38 years. 

During her career, she earned the Tanner Award from the University of Arizona for her dedication to service, according to the Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame website. Dr. Stevens retired from medical work in 2020 and remains a consultant.

She will be inducted in a virtual ceremony April 27.
