The Orthopaedic Institute for Children, a children's orthopedic hospital in Los Angeles, was renamed the Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children after receiving a $15 million gift from Renee and Meyer Luskin.

"Through the years OIC has benefited greatly from the generosity and wisdom of [Meyer and Renee Luskin]. This transformational gift will have a perpetual impact on our mission and on all those who cross our threshold for generations to come," Orthopedic Institute for Children CEO Anthony Scaduto, MD, said in a June 13 statement from the organization.

Mr. Luskin, a former chair of the Orthopedic Institue's board of directors, has positively affected the Los Angeles community through his leadership as a director of multiple charitable organizations, according to the press release.
