Realty Trust Group, a real estate advisory and services firm, partnered with the University of Tennessee Medical Center, OrthoTennessee and UT Research Park at Cherokee Farm to develop an orthopedic institute in Knoxville.
The three-story, 91,000-square-foot facility, which began construction in October 2020, includes an ASC with five operating rooms, an advanced imaging center and clinical, research and administrative areas.
"The development of the new facility will allow the orthopedic surgeons to expand and continue to provide high-quality orthopedic care in a more convenient, lower-cost setting, which was an important factor in the development of this facility," Joe Landsman, CEO of UT Medical Center, said in a Sept. 15 news release.
Fourteen orthopedic surgeons from OrthoTennessee will practice at the facility.
