Forbes released its annual list of the 400 wealthiest people in America, with four people associated with orthopedic tools developer Stryker making the list.
Ronda Stryker, Jon Stryker and Pat Stryker are grandchildren of Homer Stryker, the company's founder, who died in 1980.
Each of the three grandchildren got a stake in the company, helping them amass billions in wealth.
Ronda Stryker, 68, has a net worth of $5.6 billion. She is the only grandchild who works for Stryker, serving as one of its directors and sitting on the board.
Jon Stryker, 64, has a net worth of $3.6 billion. He lives in New York City and works as the president and founder of a human rights philanthropy.
Pat Stryker, 66, has a net worth of $2.6 billion. She works as the founder of a program that supports music, community, global and civic programs.
John Brown, 88, has no familial relation to the Strykers, but he made his $4.6 billion in wealth running the corporation for 32 years. Mr. Brown retired from the company in 2009 but still owns a little more than 5 percent.
