A Dallas-area supplier of pain management devices was sentenced to three years in federal prison and ordered to pay more than $620,000 in restitution after pleading guilty to fraud, according to a report by the Ft. Worth Star Telegram.
Kaye Anne White, owner of Electra Enterprises and Electra Med, which supplied electrical stimulation and other pain management devices, was convicted on one count of making false statements.
According to court documents, Electra wrongly claimed patients had met with physicians, allowing it to collect more than $211,000 for face-to-face services. Electra also earned $409,000 for misrepresenting the number of adhesive removal and skin barrier wipes it supplied to patients.
