A judge's $23 million ruling against Medtronic will stand after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit rejected the company's appeal request April 29, LSIPR reports.
The court ordered Medtronic to pay a spine surgeon around $23 million for multiple patent infringements in January. Medtronic appealed and lost in a split 2-1 opinion, which upheld the judge's ruling.
The court rejected Medtronic's attempt to revisit the case. The court provided no further information.
