Medtronic will unveil four new additions to its Surgical Synergy platform during the North American Spine Society's annual meeting, Sept. 25-28 in Chicago.
The additions are:
1. SynergyOLIF360SM Single-Position Workflow, a tool that combines Infuse Bone Graft with O-Arm Imaging and Stealth software to help surgeons perform oblique lateral interbody fusion while a patient is on his or her side.
2. Titan Spine Interbody Devices with FiberCel Viable Bone Matrix, a system combining Medtronic's Titan nanoLOCK Surface Technology with FiberCel VBM.
3. SynergyCorpectomySM, a fully navigated corpectomy system designed to enable preoperative planning, real-time navigation, virtual implant sizing, 3D implant placement visualization, and confirmation of implant placement.
4. Midas Rex MR8, a high-speed drill system designed for precision, access and compatibility with Stealth.
Medtronic simultaneously announced that its Mazor X Stealth Edition — a robotic guidance system for pedicle screw placement in spinal procedures — has surpassed 1,000 patient cases. The company now plans to expand the system's capabilities.
