1. Pensacola, Fla.-based Andrews Medicine, led by James Andrews, MD, is partnering with Houston-based Celltex Therapeutics to form a biotechnology company focused on stem cell research and sports medicine.
2. Stryker launched its Monterey AL Interbody System for anterior lumbar interbody fusion.
3. Safe Medical and Wenzel Spine are partnering to distribute Safe Orthopaedics products in the U.S.
4. Ultrasound systems provider Clarius Mobile Health has partnered with minimally invasive small procedure tech company Trice Medical to create a platform for orthopedic surgeons that uses high-definition wireless ultrasound and a single-use handheld arthroscope on a single tablet.
