Centinel Spine's Prodisc C SK was used in its first commercial case, the devicemaker said Nov. 10.
The Prodisc C SK device has. flat endplate and can help surgeons address individual patient anatomy, according to a company news release. Prodisc C SK, Prodisc C and Prodisc C Vivo are all available in the U.S. for 1-level total disc replacement.
"I am proud to be the first surgeon to use this innovative technology in the [Washington] D.C. metro region," Ehsan Jazini, MD, said in the release. "As a pioneer working to make disc replacement surgery ultra-customized for each patient, the prodisc C SK and prodisc C Vivo devices provide me the versatility to match the disc to the patient's anatomy."
Recently, Centinel Spine marked its 100th case with Prodisc C Vivo.
