SpineCraft, Spartan Medical partner

SpineCraft and Spartan Medical inked a strategic partnership to provide medical devices to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, civilian hospitals, and ASCs.

"As the spinal industry has evolved, we've seen an exponential race to the bottom driven by lower cost demands from hospital systems and group purchasing organizations," Vince Proffitt, founder and president of Spartan Medical, said in a July 3 news release. "To maintain profit margins, many companies in this space look to outsource manufacturing which has the potential to affect product quality and durability."

SpineCraft develops and manufactures spine implants and instruments. Spartan Medical is a contractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Defense and other local, state and federal agencies.
