Stryker plans to sell its U.S. spinal implants business, the company said Jan. 28.

The U.S. spine segment will be sold to investment firm Viscogliosi Brothers, and that group will create VB Spine, according to a news release.

VB Spine will be a strategic partner to Stryker with exclusive access to Mako Spine and Copilot. The transaction also includes a binding offer to acquire Stryker's spinal implants business in France.

The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2025.
