New Jersey Brain and Spine adds Xvision system

Spinal Tech

Neurosurgeons with Hackensack-based New Jersey Brain and Spine completed the state's first procedures with Augmedics' xvision system in December, the practice said in a July 8 news release.

Patrick Roth, MD, and Roy Vingan, MD, performed the practice's first spine cases with the augmented reality navigation system. The xvision system uses a headset to project the position of surgical tools on a CT scan and lets physicians look at the patient and navigation data simultaneously.

Since the debut case, New Jersey Brain and Spine used the system in 41 patients.
