From new launches and financing, here are eight key updates from spine and orthopedic medtech companies since Sept. 4.

1. Arthrex launched OrthoPedia Patient, an educational resource for spine and orthopedic patients.

2. Zimmer Biomet named David DeMartino as its new senior vice president of investor relations.

3. Temple Therapeutics, a women's health company, launched a spinoff venture for orthopedic sports medicine.

4. Medical technology company Enovis has appointed Tim Czartoski as its president of U.S. surgical and global product and enabling technologies. 

5. Catalyst OrthoScience raised $20 million in financing on the heels of a total shoulder replacement milestone.

6. Proprio's Paradigm surgical guidance platform has been used in 50 spine cases.

7. Discure Technologies has raised $16 million in Series A funding for the development of a bioelectronic implantable device for the treatment of degenerative disc disease. 

8. Zavation Medical Products launched its Varisync anterior lumbar interbody fusion system.
