"I truly believe as practitioners we constantly have to evaluate our own outcomes and be willing to evolve our practices in response to that data. It is vital to keep up with the current evidence based literature and determine which technologies and procedures work best for us a specialty. Innovation in medicine is vital, but it is just as important to recognize the worth of validated technologies and techniques as well. Spine surgery can be life saving and life-changing for patients, so it is our duty to provide the best possible care for our patients by striving for perfection in our own education."
