Spine Surgeon to Know: Dr. Hal Silcox, III of Peachtree Orthopaedic Clinic

Hal Silcox, III, MD, is a partner at Peachtree Orthopaedic Clinic in Duluth, Ga. He previously served as chief of spine surgery at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the resident/spine surgery fellowship education coordinator at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, Georgia Orthopaedic Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Silcox has been the principal investigator in Georgia for two U.S. Food and Drug Administration investigational device exemption studies. He has authored peer-reviewed publications on topics relating to spine surgery and spinal disorders. He is also the author of six book chapters. He has served on the faculty of over five dozen continuing medical education courses.

 

Dr. Silcox is board certified and his clinical interests include back injuries, cervical herniated discs, cervical spine disorders, degenerative spine, lumbar degenerative disc disease, scoliosis and spinal deformity.

 

Dr. Silcox earned his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery and fellowship in spine surgery at Emory University affiliated hospitals.
