Henry E. Aryan, MD, is a neurosurgeon providing care at Sierra Pacific Orthopedics in Fresno, Calif. He is also an associate clinical professor of neurosurgery at University of California, San Francisco. He is a founding member of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, and a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and North American Spine Society.
Dr. Aryan is also a founding member of International Neurosurgery Children's Association, a charitable organization providing free neurosurgical care to pediatric patients. He is Gamma Knife Radiosurgery-certified and Cyber Knife Radiosurgery-certified. He has an active interest in research, particularly in the areas of spinal fusion surgery without iliac crest harvest and revision surgery following microdiscectomy.
Dr. Aryan's clinical interests include spinal disorders, minimally invasive spine surgery, robotic-guided spine surgery, revision spine surgery, spinal arthroplasty, lumbar fusion, microdiscectomy and degenerative spine disease. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and is author of several textbooks on spine disorders.
Dr. Aryan earned his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine and completed his residency in neurosurgery at the University of California, San Diego. He has also completed a fellowship in complex spine surgery and neurospinal oncology at the University of California, San Francisco.
