Tyler Koski, MD, serves as a neurosurgeon at Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He is also a neurological surgery associate professor at Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.
Dr. Koski's research emphasizes enhancing outcomes for complex spinal disorders, and he is involved with the National Institutes of Health trial on adult scoliosis. At Northwestern, Dr. Koski helped develop the High Risk Spine protocol, which is a multimodality evaluation and clinical pathway designed to decrease complications in complex spine surgeries.
Dr. Koski has lectured at medical society meetings, including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Scoliosis Research Society, North American Spine Society and AANS/CNS Joint Section on Spine and Peripheral Nerve Disorders. He is also on ONE Spine's board of directors and on Spinecme.org website's advisory board.
After obtaining his medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Dr. Koski completed his general surgery internship and neurological surgery residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. Dr. Koski also completed a complex and reconstructive spine fellowship at Northwestern.
