Thomas Manning, MD, is a spine surgeon at Boise, Idaho-based NeuroScience Associates.
His areas of expertise include degenerative and reconstructive spine surgery and operating on spinal tumors.
Dr. Manning's career began as a U.S. Navy Seal. He served in active service in the Persian Gulf in 1991 piloting mini-submersibles and then served as a commander of the Navy's Demonstration Parachute Team. He earned his medical degree at the University of Chicago. He then completed a residency and his fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle. He spent a year in the United Kingdom as a senior registrar at Atkinson Morley Hospital in Wimbledon.
Dr. Manning is a member of several professional societies. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.
Outside of his practice, he enjoys skiing, playing sports and upland bird hunting.
