Scott Blumenthal, DO, is a physician at Boca Raton-based South Florida Neurology Associates, PA., who specializes in EMG/neuromuscular disorders, Parkinson's disease migraine headaches and use of Botox for neurological disorders.
Dr. Blumenthal is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagsnotic Medicine and the Movement Disorder Society. He previously served on the Medical Executive Committee and currently serves on the Peer Review Committee at the Delray (Fla.) Medical Center. He is well-versed in deep brain stimulation evaluation and program for Parkinson's disease and essential tremor.
After obtaining his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Des Moines (Iowa) University, Dr. Blumenthal completed an internship at Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University, Frankford Hospital and his neurology residency at New York City-based Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he was chief resident. He then underwent a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with emphasis on EMG and neuromuscular diseases at Montefiore Medical.
