Frank Phillips, MD, is a spine surgeon at Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
Additionally, Dr. Phillips serves as a professor of orthopedic surgery and director of the spine surgery division at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Phillips previously served as director of the spine center at the University of Chicago.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Phillips is a founder, board member and past president of the Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery, motion preserving spinal surgery and cervical and lumbar spinal reconstruction.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in South Africa, Dr. Phillips completed his residency at the University of Chicago. Dr. Phillips is also fellowship trained from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
