Jamie L. Baisden, MD, is a board certified neurosurgeon at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Baisden specializes in complex spine surgery and performs minimally invasive spine surgery and spinal fusion and instrumentation. She aims to integrate preoperative and postoperative care to maximize patient recovery.
Dr. Baisden received her medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown. She underwent fellowship training in spinal cord injury at the Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Milwaukee and spinal surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin's neurosurgery department.
Her research interests include evidence-based clinical guidelines for spine surgery and experimental models of spine surgical techniques. She has been published in a variety of spine and neurosurgery journals.
Dr. Baisden is a professor of neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and was selected as one of the "Best Doctors in America" in 2007.
