Ara Deukmedjian, MD, is a board certified neurosurgeon at Fla.-based Deuk Spine Institute in Titusville and Melbourne.
Dr. Deukmedjian is the CEO and medical director of the Deuk Spine Institute, where he performs the Deuk Laser Disc Repair procedure. He focuses on minimally invasive, laser and endoscopic back and neck pain treatment and is also an assistant professor of neurosurgery at the University of Central Florida's College of Medicine in Orlando.
Dr. Deukmedjian received his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC in Los Angeles. He held a teaching position while in medical school, the first medical student to do so in the school's history. He is a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the surgery department chair of Parrish Medical Center in Titusville.
His nonprofit Deuk Spine Foundation supports continued research and the development of new techniques to enhance spine health.
