Douglas Won, MD, is a board certified orthopedic surgeon at Irving, Texas-based Lumin Health.
Dr. Won specializes in minimally invasive and endoscopic laser spine surgery and pioneered the LuMINI Micro-Invasive procedure for a variety of back, neck and spine issues. He was the first Texas surgeon to perform endoscopic laser surgery with a three millimeter incision.
Dr. Won received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He underwent spine surgery fellowship training at southeast Mich.-based William Beaumont Spine Center and completed a second fellowship in cervical spine and deformities of the spine at Washington University in St. Louis.
He holds multiple patents and is experienced in treating work-related injuries. He frequently appears as a medical expert for ABC-WFAA-TV, CBS Radio, The Marty Griffin Show on 1080 KRLD, Sunday Morning Magazine with Mark Willis on 103.7 KVIL and 106.7 KDL. In his spare time, Dr. Won is active in martial arts and enjoys outdoor sports. He speaks Korean.
