Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Blake Staub of the Texas Back Institute

Blake Staub, MD, is a neurosurgeon at the Texas Back Institute in Plano and Dallas.

Dr. Staub's clinical interests include adult scoliosis, spine deformity reconstruction, revision spinal surgery, spinal tumors and minimally invasive spinal surgery. He also treats vertebral compression fractures, cervical and lumbar degenerative disorders and spine trauma. 

Dr. Staub received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and underwent orthopedic spine surgery fellowship training at the New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery, focused on complex spine and scoliosis surgery.

He is a member of the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, among other professional organizations. Dr. Staub has authored several scientific articles and book chapters.
