Charla Fischer, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at NYU Langone Health in New York City.
Dr. Fischer is an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center and serves as the spine division director of quality and patient safety for the orthopedics department. She focuses on minimally invasive spine surgery techniques.
Dr. Fischer received her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and underwent spine surgery fellowship training at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. Her research has been published in a variety of peer-reviewed scientific journals and she serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery.
